Position Summary:
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
Reporting Relationship:
The Project Manager will report to the General Manager of Xperience Construction.
What does this job entail?
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource requirements, and budgets.
- Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Communicate project goals, timelines, and progress to stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss project status and address issues.
- Provide clear and concise project updates to senior management.
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure project success.
- Monitor and manage project budgets.
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes.
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders.
- Manager expectations and address concerns in a timely manner.
- Solicit feedback and incorporate it into project planning and execution.
What are the minimum requirements?
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (project management, business, engineering, etc.)
- Proven experience as a Project Manager.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods).
- Leadership and supervisory skills: problem-solving in high stress environments; positive, professional, client friendly demeanor; verbal and written communication skills; comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback; time management; ability to multi-task.
- Collaborator who values and adds to an excellent team culture.
- Valid Class E driver’s license and good driving record.
- Ability to read and understand CAD design plans is a must.
- Required travel to jobsites within a 100-200 mile radius.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Proficient in basic computer skills and use of standard Microsoft office software such as Office 365, word, excel, outlook, and teams.
- Always work to maintain a clean, safe, and secure work environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
What are the physical demands of the job?
- Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time daily.
- Must be able to stand and walk 75% of the time.
- Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, push/pull, crouch, and balance for lengthy periods of time on a daily basis.
- Must be able to and comfortable working in high places climbing ladders and scaffolding and working in lifts.
- Must be able to lift and carry in excess of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to and comfortable with work in high places and in small, cramped places in very dirty and dusty environments, hot humid places as well as cold places.
- Must be able to use hands for grasping and fine manipulation.
- Must be able to read, write and speak with positive attitude with ability to recall, remember and work well under stress for long periods of time daily.
What additional skills will be valuable?
- Understanding of or experience with Microsoft Project Manager and/or Plan Grid.
- Knowledge or experience in negotiation skills, conflict resolution, change management, critical thinking, client management, and adaptability.
